Handmade in Australia, these 3mm natural black Sapphires have been set in a Sterling Silver rope ring.
Sapphires are a part of the Corundum family of stones. It includes Ruby, Sapphire and a number of others. Sapphires naturally come in a range of colours that include blue, which is the familiar colour, to pinks, greens, yellows and black. Being second only to Diamonds in hardness, sapphires are ideal for all forms of jewellery. The stones used in this ring appear to be black, but shine a strong light through them and they show a deep rich colour. They have been flush set in this rope inspired ring.
The ring is sized: P (US 7 3/4)
Handcrafted in my small studio on the Central Coast of New South Wales. I use traditional jewellers hand skills to craft these pieces. After creating the setting, the stones are set by hand before each ring is polished.
As with most jewellery, care should be taken not to expose these earrings to harsh or corrosive chemicals.
